If you want to dive into making common graphics as quickly as possible, I recommend The R Graphics Cookbook by Winston Chang. Step 1: Installing R Package in Linux First of all, we need to install the R package, which is available in the default repository of RHEL/CentOS and Ubuntu. If you’d like to follow a webinar, try Plotting Anything with ggplot2 by Thomas Lin Pedersen. If you’d like to take an online course, try Data Visualization in R With ggplot2 by Kara Woo. The Data Visualisation and Graphics for communication chapters in R for Data Science. ![]() Currently, there are three good places to start: I right clicked on the rstudio-server-0.99.b file that I downloaded and opened it through the Ubuntu Software Centre. I think that I shouldnt have done that because now I cant even install an older version of RStudio from Ubuntu Software Centre. The most common way to use R is using RStudio, a great cross-platform open source IDE. ![]() If you are new to ggplot2 you are better off starting with a systematic introduction, rather than trying to learn from reading individual documentation pages. and then installing it but that didnt work.
